Sunrise Exchange is a real-time electronic trading platform connecting insurers and intermediaries in Australia: brokers, insurers, and underwriting agencies. It integrates directly with their systems so quotes, new business, enquiries, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and lapses are transacted without duplicate data entry. It is operated by Ebix Australia and has traded since July 2001.

Sunrise Exchange is not owned by an insurer or a broker network. It is Australia's only independent digital trading platform: a neutral, technology-driven environment for insurers and brokers to connect, exchange data, and deliver insurance solutions with speed and accuracy.

The exchange processes more than 7.5 million transactions a year, with more than 770 brokers connected, 15 suppliers, and 90+ active products.

Brokers need to be using CBS, eGlobal, Evolution, eBusiness Portal, ibais, Insight, or WinBEAT (including WinBEAT NEXT) to apply for access. SSP APAC's SELECT platform is also accredited on the exchange through SSP's Ebix Sunrise Connector.

Home, motor, commercial, trade, and other general insurance products; the exchange covers most classes of general insurance, including the financial lines underwriting agencies have launched on it such as professional indemnity, management liability, and cyber.

Ebix Australia scopes the classes, transactions, and systems involved and connects the exchange to the supplier's rating and policy systems, directly or through an existing adapter such as Duck Creek's. The product then launches as a transaction available to every connected broker.
