Sunrise Exchange is a real-time electronic trading platform that connects insurers and intermediaries, enabling fast, accurate transactions across a broad and growing range of insurance products and services. It integrates directly with insurer and intermediary systems, reducing manual processing, eliminating duplicate data entry, and lowering transaction costs, by automating quotes, new business, enquiries, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and lapses across home, motor, commercial, trade, and other general insurance products.
Launched in July 2001, it processes more than 7.5 million transactions a year for more than 770 connected brokers, with 15 suppliers and 90+ active products. As Australia's only independent digital trading platform, it provides a neutral, technology-driven environment for insurers and brokers to connect, exchange data, and deliver insurance with speed and accuracy.
Sunrise, iClose, and the eBusiness Portal
Sunrise is a suite of eCommerce and transaction solutions for the insurance industry. Beside the exchange sit iClose, an end-to-end e-commerce solution for the broker-insurer relationship that complements Sunrise Exchange, and the eBusiness Portal, a stand-alone client and policy management system for electronic trading that gives intermediaries without a compliant broking system access to both.
Ebix Australia
Ebix Australia builds and supports the broking systems that more than 80% of Australian insurance brokers run as their policy management, transaction processing, and compliance system: CBS, eGlobal, Evolution, and WinBEAT. Sunrise Exchange is the market infrastructure those systems trade through.
